I’m here with the first edition of my new series, Quick Bites. Easy recipes from prep to eat in 15 minutes. Now that’s #realfastfood.
So today I’ll be sharing this cheese stuffed burger recipe. I can tell you’re salivating already so without further ado here it is.
1 lime leaf (thinly sliced), 1/2 small tomato (diced), dash of light soy sauce, dried chillies (smoked), mixed herbs, sea salt, black pepper, cumin seeds, coriander seeds and paprika (as a cheat go out and buy the Jamie Oliver chilli salt as it includes all these ingredients starting at the dried chillies). You can see a full break down on how to prep the burger here:
1 small red onion, 1 small tomato, Pinch of sea salt, some twists of black pepper and dash of balsamic vinegar.
I suggest making this in bulk as it will keep in the fridge uncooked for 2-3 days.
Get your mince beef (medium size pack from tesco i prefer the 5%fat but if you are on a budget and not on a diet its cheaper for the 20%fat) and kneed it into all ingredients listed until it stays stuck to itself. divide into 3 big burgers or 4 small ones. Coat with olive oil to stop it sticking to the pan (you can cook this in a normal pan or under the grill if you don’t own a griddle). put a lid on it and cook for 3-4 mins. Flip it over and put the lid back on. While the burger is cooking get your chopped onion (red or brown) put it in a separate pan with olive oil tomato and the rest of the ingredients on a low heat for 3 mins. Shake it up (or use a spatula). let it cook for another 2 mins and BAM! Everything is finished and ready to plate up!
So there it is guys, juicy burgers in as little as 15 minutes. Let me know how it goes for you if you try this out.
